How this guide is sourced, and what it leaves out
A guide about misleading roofing marketing has to survive the standard it applies to everybody else. So here is how this one is put together: what gets cited and how, what was deliberately left off it, and how to get something corrected.

The statewide guide, local company problem
Keys Roofing works in greater St. Louis. It cannot put a crew on a roof in Springfield, Joplin, Columbia, Cape Girardeau, Kansas City or anywhere else in the state, and no page here will suggest otherwise. Every photograph on the site is a Keys job in the St. Louis area and is captioned that way, rather than being presented as a generic Missouri roof.
So why write for the whole state? Because RSMo 407.725 applies in every county. So does the ten year limitation period, and the absence of a matching rule, and the absence of a state license, and the deductible tax credit. The misinformation is identical in Sikeston and in Chesterfield because it is copied from the same handful of pages. A homeowner in a county this company will never work in is still better off reading an accurate account of Missouri law than the alternative.
If your roof is inside the St. Louis radius, the number on every page reaches Keys Roofing and an inspection is one call. If it is not, the guide is still accurate for your county, and the right next step is a local roofer and the checks set out on the licensing page.
The sourcing rule
One rule, applied without exception. Every legal statement on this site names the statute section or the reported case it comes from. Every figure names the body that published it. If a claim could not be traced to a primary source, it is not on the site, even where it would have been useful and even where competitors are publishing it confidently.

What this site will never say
Keys Roofing does not publish a founding year, a state credential number, a rating from any business bureau, a manufacturer certification tier, a warranty term or a review count, because the company's own site does not state those things and inventing them here would be exactly the behaviour this guide spends eleven pages criticising.
It also does not and will not offer to represent, negotiate, file or argue any homeowner's insurance claim, or make any offer at all concerning a deductible. RSMo 407.725 forbids both. Any Missouri roofing company still advertising that service, and a great many still do, is telling you something about how it reads the statute.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, it should be fixed, and a correction with a primary source attached will be. That includes a statute that has been amended, a case that has been distinguished, a figure that has been superseded, and a photograph caption that describes the frame inaccurately.
Call the number on this page and say you are calling about the guide rather than about a roof. Nobody there will try to sell you a roof in a county Keys does not work in.

Keys Roofing is a roofing, gutter and downspout company working in greater St. Louis, and that is the only part of Missouri it can send anyone to. If your house is outside that radius, use the guide and hire locally. Nothing here changes based on where you live.
What an inspection produces is a set of photographs, slope by slope measurements and a written scope of the work the roof needs. You keep that file. If there is a claim in your story, the claim stays in your name and in your hands: under RSMo 407.725 a Missouri roofing contractor shall not represent or negotiate an owner's insurance claim, and Keys does not. The contractor's job is to document the roof accurately and to be on the roof as the contractor when the adjuster inspects it.
